[English]

The purpose of this research is to study the effect of cultural capital and nutritional literacy on improving the quality of life. The present research is a descriptive-explanatory type of research and is practical in terms of purpose. The statistical population of the study includes heart attack patients of Shahid Madani Hospital in Tabriz, 200 of whom were randomly selected as a sample in terms of time and were studied. To collect research data, the quality of life questionnaire of the World Health Organization (WHO-QOL-BREF) (1996), the cultural capital of Sharbatian and Eskandari (2016) and the nutritional literacy of Habi et al. (2018) were used. The questionnaires were standard and their validity has been confirmed in many researches. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to check the reliability of the questionnaires. The reliability of all the questionnaires was higher than 0.50 and it showed the internal correlation of the items. The findings of this research showed that there was a significant and inverse relationship between age and quality of life, and in other words, quality of life decreased with age. Another finding of the research is that there is a significant difference between the quality of life of patients based on gender and marital status. In other words, the average quality of life of men is higher than that of women, and on the other hand, the average score of the quality of life of deceased spouse respondents is significantly lower than that of married, single and divorced respondents.
The results of bivariate analysis between the variables of cultural capital and nutritional literacy with quality of life indicate a direct and significant relationship between cultural capital and nutritional literacy with quality of life.
